The institutionalization process of educational research in Brazil from the Revista Brasileira de Estudos Pedagógicos: arguments, debates and initiatives
Abstract
This article presents an empirical and bibliographic research based on the analysis of the articles published by the Revista Brasileira de Estudos Pedagógicos (RBEP), aiming to identify and present the way
scientific production has been considering its relations with the scientific development policy in Brazil, in the 1950s. In this sense, it presents itself as a central question: what were the themes most addressed in the research published in the 1950s and their relationship with the development policies of the time? Considering the problem and the objective of this research, the path taken was through the reading and analysis of the 194 articles published in the period 1950-1959, in RBEP, elaborating from the themes
most published in the magazine, an analysis on the relationship between the first steps of the research institutionalization process in Brazil and what was spreading as knowledge in the field of education. As a result, graphs and tables were drawn up that demonstrate a deep articulation between what was being produced and disseminated as knowledge in the field of education and the socio-political-economic interests of the State in the development process of the country.
