Apresenta a história da construção do Thesaurus Brasileiro da Educação e como esse instrumento de indexação e recuperação da informação pode ajudar na padronização da linguagem documentária dessa área do saber. Abstract This paper presents the compilation of the Brazilian Thesaurus of Education and how this indexation and retrieval information instrument can help the standardization of the documentary language in this specific knowledge area.
