Abstract

This paper presents preliminary discussions on a doctoral research whose theme is the educational knowledge, and it aims to broaden studies on non-children education carried with teenaged offenders. A research is conducted with teachers working on a juvenile correctional facility and is steered by the research issue/problem: what is the relation between the educational knowledge wielded in socio-educational venues and its contribution for the training of teenaged-offenders in citizenship? Wishing to combine research and training, postulates of collaborative research are employed, and the dialogues established in training workshops were adopted as methodological procedures for data production. The results revealed the significance of research-training as a tool for a collaborative knowledge advancement that articulates professional theory and practice, favoring self-training in socio-educational teaching.
