Uses (with no abuses) of the ethnographic text in the classroom
Abstract
What place does ethnographic narratives occupy in basic-education classrooms? To what extent does this specialized writing can be used as a pedagogical tool to improve teaching? To dialogue around these inquiries, this article proposes three ways to understand ethnographic texts as a pedagogical practice intended for non-anthropologists: the exemplary, the conceptual and the ethnographic exercise. Thus, it is a case of a theoretical and methodological proposition that seeks to expand the circulation of anthropological perspectives and of the ways knowledge is developed in anthropology.
